Internships
Sutros interns play a vital role in the success of the website and the project overall. We look to interns to help us develop all aspects of the site and especially to help get the word about Sutros out to potential users. Interns gain valuable experience in the many aspects of forming an online start-up, market research, advertising and Web design.
Intern Duties:
• Conduct research and interact with potential Sutros users in your community such as individual musicians, bands, schools, music organizations and venues;
• Communicate with potential advertisers;
• Attend design and marketing meetings and take part in creating future features for the site;
• Contribute regularly to the Sutros blog, where you can write to a broad audience about your favorite music and the changes that you see happening in the music business and learn all you ever wanted to know about HTML coding;
• Commit a minimum of 10 hours per week for at least three months. If you're located in the Bay Area, you are more than welcome to come and work at our office in the Mission. However, it is by no means necessary for you to live nearby. We're looking to get input from interns all over the world!
